He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Mears and James Mears; and his sisters, Joan Ward and Janet Marie Mears. He is survived by: his wife Marcia "Mickey" Mears; his daughters, Kathleen and Susan; his grandchildren, Emma, Molly Foster, Christopher and Matthew Grahn; his stepchildren, Jaymie Rosenberger Lacombe (Steve), Rob Rosenberger, David Rosenberger and Jeff Rosenberger; his stepgrandsons, Aaron Lacombe (Erin) and Isaac Lacombe; his brother Henry; and his sisters-in-law, Ellen, Sandy Shomper and Joyce Turney.
