He is survived by: his wife Carrol Schaper; his children, Michael Schaper (Leigh Anne) and Deborah Piel (David); his grandchildren, Amanda, Courtney, Zachary and Emily; and his great grandchild Ella. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
