He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Stokes and Mary Stokes; and his siblings, Wallace Stokes, Leamon Stokes, Dalvin Stokes and Marcella Collier.
He is survived by: his children, Ricky Stokes (Karen) of Fort Meade, Rhonda Criss (Jeff) of Orlando and Randy Stokes (Kelly) of Lakeland; and his brother Wayne Stokes (Becky) of Fort Meade. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
