With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean Barnett (Fort Meade, Florida), born in Saint Petersburg, Florida, who passed away on March 3, 2019 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband John C. Barnett, Sr.; her parents, Addison J. Slessman and Leitha Slessman; and her sister Gladys Hancock. She is survived by: her children, Connally Barnett (Tina) and Beverly Barnett Crockett of Fort Meade, FL; her sister-in-law Marge Pennington of Atlanta, GA; her grandchildren, John Connally Barnett, III (Jenna) of Fort Meade, Addison Barnett (Savannah) of Fort Meade, Benjamin Crockett and Nicholas Crockett; and her great grandchildren, Jack of Fort Meade, FL., Sam of Fort Meade, FL., Brady of Fort Meade, FL. and Braxton Barnett of Fort Meade, FL..

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the First United Methodist Church of Fort Meade.
