James H. Prine Jr. Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James H. Prine Jr. of Fort Meade, Florida, born in Bartow, Florida, who passed away on February 13, 2021, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Winifred S. "Winnie" Prine; his brother-in-law Joe Lara; his niece Riley Peterman; his grandparents, W. H., Bertha Smithwick, Dallas and Arrillia Prine; his uncles, Joseph Prine, Theo Smithwick and Alton Smithwick; and his aunt Berniece Prine Harris.

He is survived by: his father James H. Prine, Sr.; his sisters, Pam Prine of Fort Meade, FL, Barbara P. Lara and Rita Collier (Kevin); his niece Alicia Peterman (Aaron) of Lakeland, FL; his nephew Drew Collier (Jessica) of Bartow, FL; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kendal, Kenady, Cade, Case and Easton; and his aunts, Verena Prine of Fort Meade, FL, Betty Sue Bullock of Zolfo Springs, FL and June Anderson of Zolfo Springs, FL. He is also survived by several cousins, and many friends.

Pam Pitre wrote a sympathy message

“I was saddened to hear of Jim's passing. He was a sweet friend from high school. Jim lived near us and was more than happy to provide rides to school and to church. I was glad to reconnect with him on social media. Jim's Mother also provided rides to school by bus and we loved and appreciated her very much. Prayers for the Prine family. Sincere condolences and sympathy from Pam Colee (Trask) Pitre (Class of 1977). Rest in peace, Jimmy!!!!!”
