He was predeceased by: his parents, Violet Koley and Marvin Ollar Sheets; and his brother Charles Alan "Al" Sheets. He is survived by: his sons, Marvin Sheets (Tara) of Iowa and Eddie Covington (Johnette) of Louisiana; his siblings, Liz Hoskinson, Ron Sheets of Illinois, Phil Sheets of Illinois, Marlin Sheets of Illinois and Christopher Sheets of Tennessee; and his grandchildren, William Covington, Chloe Sheets and Kaitlyn Sheets. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
