He is survived by: his wife Kimberly Streiffert Amundsen; his children, Dean Karl Amundsen Jr. and Christina Hall (Jayson) of Elizabeth City, NC; his stepson Kenneth A. Barefoot of Elizabeth City, NC; and his siblings, Lars Amundsen (Robin) and Tamre Campbell (Rocky) of Tampa. He is also survived by 2 Granddaughters, numerous nieces and nephews.
