She was predeceased by: her mother Joyce Spence. She is survived by: her son Robert; her daughter-in-law Nichole; her daughter Lois-Anne; her son-in-law Robert; her granddaughters, Amelie and Maya; and her siblings, Lonnie, Ricky and Barbara. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear and beloved friends.
She taught adult literacy classes at JAMAL, offered after school remedial math lessons and spearheaded donation drives for various community and church causes and dedicated many years to championing women's causes.
