He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rudolph A. Kauth and Merle Swinton Kauth; his former spouse Jean Baumgartner; his wife Maggie Hamilton McTigue; his children, Alyson Kauth Jones and Sheryl Kauth; his stepdaughters, Deborah McTigue Figler, Julia McTigue Jacobs and Sarah McTigue Tuthill; and his brother Charles (Chuck).
