She was predeceased by: her husband Gerald Stewart Britt; her sons, Gregory and Wayne; and her siblings, Lewis F. Platt, Charles W. Platt and Carolyn P. Jenkinson.

She is survived by: her children, Warren Britt (Patty) of Winfield, IL and Karen Ivie (Michael); her grandchildren, Dominic Alexander and Amelia Rose Ivie of Richmond, VA; her daughter Sharon Stresau (Frederick); and her grandchildren, Frederick Sebastian and Celeste Rose Stresau of Fort Lauderdale, FL.
