She was predeceased by: her father Edward Palanker; her husband Robert Alvin Goldberg; and her siblings, Diane and Ira. She is survived by: her children, Harvey, Hillary and Michael; her close friends, Harvey, Patricia, Hillary, Robert, Michael and Carla; her brother Alan (Evelyn); and her granddaughter Rachel (Grecia).
As a survivor of breast cancer, the family suggests donations be sent to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) in Maxine's honor.
