Lavonne Catherine Steckbeck Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lavonne Catherine Steckbeck of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, who passed away on December 10, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary E. Burke Cayot and Clarence S. Cayot; her grandson Christopher; her husband Perry Steckbeck; her son Bill; and her sisters, Margie Miller and Nancy Tegtmeyer.

She is survived by: her children, Linda Jobe of Houston, Texas, Sandy Kimball (Tom) of Gainesville, FL., Pam Cloutier of Tampa, FL, Peter (Lauren) of Pompano Beach, FL., Julia Steckbeck (Wendy) of Enfield, Paul (Kim) of Marietta, GA, Mary Steckbeck of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. and Jeff of Ashby, Massachusetts.; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Jimmy, Mary, David, Amy, Brianna, Michael, Allie, Casey, Ryan, Savannah, Jackson and Lucas; and her great grandchildren, Jeffrey, Kyle, William, Riley, Reagan, David Jr., Penny of Tommy, AJ, Huxley, Brayden and Hunter. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kraeer/Fairchild Funeral Home and Cremation Center (4061 N Federal Hwy, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the St John the Baptist Catholic Church (4595 Bayview Dr, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308).
