He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillian Cotton and Milton Cotton; his son Mark Cotton (Monica); and his sister Susan Sussman. He is survived by: his wife Andrea Crane Cotton; his sons, James Cotton, Jr., Benjamin Cotton (Whitney) and Mathew Cotton (Antonietta); his grandchildren, Jason Cotton, Luke Cotton, Penelope Cotton, Lillian Cotton, Simone Cotton and Vivienne Cotton; and his nephew Thomas Cohn.
