With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Andres Jackson of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, born in Erie, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 30, 2024 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Helen Andres leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Andres and Elizabeth Andres; and her brothers, Peter Thomas Andres and George Stephen Andres. She is survived by: her children, Robert Jackson (Cynthia), Suzanne Woelke (Roger), Janet Rinker (Larry) and Patricia Marks (Stan). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild on the way, a niece, and nephews.

A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, September 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (101 SE 3rd Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 11th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Lauderdale Memorial Park (2001 SW 4th Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Legacy Fund at First United Methodist Church, Ft. Lauderdale, FL at the address above or online.

“I and our whole "Erie family" send our love and sincere condolences. Helen and my mother, Christine, were soulmates. Mom just passed at 102 on July 31st, just before her best childhood friend. I am so happy they had that kind of lasting parallel friendship and wonderful times in Erie together. Mom spoke of her often. Thinking of all of you today. Gone but never ever forgotten and so dearly missed. Yours truly Martha Bell”
