With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Wilkerson Gilbert (Fort Lauderdale, Florida), born in Port Saint Joe, Florida, who passed away on October 15, 2021 at the age of 74. He was predeceased by: his parents, Soledad Hidalgo Gilbert and Willard Phonzo Gilbert; and his sister Deda Sheffield. He is survived by: his wife Kay; his granddaughter Annalee "Lee" Gilbert; and his siblings, Diane Gilbert, Gilda Branch, Victor Gilbert and Williard Paul Gilbert.

In remembrance of Wilkie's life the family asks that charitable donations be made to: The Ft. Lauderdale Rotary Club 1090 Foundation.
