It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Ronald Pope of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, born in Macon, Georgia, who passed away on April 11, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty Pope and George Pope. He is survived by: his wife Renee Pope; his daughter Haley Weigle (Jay); his granddaughter Millie James; his daughter Stephanie Weigle; his brothers, Ken Pope (Sheila) and Scott Pope (Sandy); his nieces and nephews, Katelyn DiNardo (Davis) and Christian Pope (Taylor); and his great-nephew Stetson. He is also survived by friends, and neighbors.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the James Funeral Home (630 N Main St, Wrens, GA 30833). A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wrens Baptist Church (500 N Main St, Wrens, GA 30833).
