He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elsie Edwards and Johnnie Edwards; his significant other Brenda Hamm; his daughter Harriet Michelle Edwards Fordham; his grandsons, Harrington Maurice Smith of Daytona Beach, FL and Charles Howell Fordham III of Daytona Beach, FL; his siblings, Ruby Edwards (Eddie) of Waycross, GA, Louise Edwards Jones of Opa and Moses Edwards (Mary) of Douglas, GA; his sister-in-law Winnie Mae Edwards; and his goddaughter Courtney Johnson Arthur. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and devoted friends.
