She was predeceased by: her parents, Bishop J. Z. and Dania Beach Church of God; her husband James Gooden; and her daughter Dr. Janie Gooden-Greenleaf (Claude). She is survived by: her children, Edith Gooden-Thompson (Maurice), Cleo Stroud, Marva Gooden, Rev. Linda Gooden Smith (Charles), Rev. Kathy Gooden Flowers (Edsel), Faye Gooden-Williams and Raymond A. Gooden. She is also survived by 17 Grandchildren, 37 Great Grandchildren, and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.
