She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Clement and Irene (Vrettakos); her siblings, Antonia Hyland of Deerfield Beach and Evangelos Athanasakos (Carol) of San Rafael, California; her nieces, Elizabeth Hyland (Barbara) of Wilton Manors, Rena Shahan (Patrick) of Monument, Colorado and Lesa Ramage (James) of Reno, Nevada; her nephew Nicholas Athanasakos (Jane) of Arroyo Grande, California; her pets, Theo, Aggie and Luey; and also Blair Shahan of Lincoln, Nebraska.
In lieu of flowers the family graciously suggests donations be made in Betty's honor to the" Daughters of Penelope" and/or "Pace Center for Girls of Broward County.".
