He is survived by: his son Joseph Larry May Jr.; his father Robert Winston May; his siblings, Donna Irene Loman, Phyllis Ann Sullivan and Donald Richard May; his grandson Doniven James Stuebe; his great grandchild Cade William Conner; his children, Michael Garren Chambers (Michelle), Melissa May Bouresslan (Nidal) of Greensboro, NC, Chasidy Michelle Chavis (Cedrick) of Jamestown, NC, Aaron Keith May (Wendy) of Lexington, NC and Crystal Michelle Stuebe (Clinton) of Inverness, FL; his grandchildren, Joe Knight (Jody), Nicholas Bolden, Hailey Griffith (Melissa), Shyanne Stuebe, Hayden Stuebe (Crystal), Jayden Chavis, Makayla Chavis, Adalynn Chavis (Chasidy), Trevor Chambers, Tyler Chambers and Tristan Chambers (Garren); his siblings, Lynda May Sackett, Debbie May Messer (Ted) and Robert Winston May Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Journee and Jennifer Stuebe (Doniven). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
