He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian Lucero and Carlota Lucero (Cardenas); his granddaughter Kimberly Gillespie; his great grandchild Anterious Miller; and his siblings, Alene and Adolph.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Lucero (White); his children, Sam Lucero (Jennifer), Randy Lucero (Angel), Carla Thomas (James), Dede Cohen (Tommy), Dawn Bass, Debra Ervin, Juannell Cunningham (Larry), Maggie Keck (Paul) and Lisa Brown (Dennis); and his siblings, Virgil, Art, Leroy, Josie and Laurie. He is also survived by "Papa" by multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren.
