He is survived by: his father Wilfred "Bill" Thompson; his wife Mary Kelly of Ayrshire, Iowa.; his children, Troy Thompson (Jocelyn) of Newport News, VA, Todd Thompson (Norma) of Boca Raton, FL, Tracy Zappola (Edward) of Jacksonville, FL and Trevor Thompson (Susan Oliver) of Fleming Island, FL; his grandchildren, Rachel, Michael, Matthew Thompson, Kaleb and Kelly Zappola; his sisters, Ruth Malm (Steven) and Mary Jane Soenen (Robert); and his uncle Art (Mary Lou Kollasch). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, their spouses and children; and his aunt.
