He was predeceased by: his parents, Averill Shaw and Kathleen G. Phair (Phair); and his brother Wallace Shaw. He is survived by: his stepsister Sandra Maynard; and his children, Valerie G. Mills, Joel A., Rebecca Shaw (Bock), Steven K. and Sarah Shaw (Gerdel). He is also survived by ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
