She was predeceased by: her parents, Cyrus Glenn and Ferol Eva Spinks Cosper; her husband Donald G. Swanson; her daughter Kristy Eva Swanson Fretham; and her brother Darrell Lamar Cosper.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Groenendyk (Russell), Lynn Meares (Wayne) of Orange Park, FL, Richard Swanson of Orange Park, FL and Jeff Swanson of Tifton, GA; her grandchildren, Marcella Stadt (Jeremiah), Mikah Groenendyk, Savannah Ponder (Matt), Christopher Reno (Vivian Burns), Stephanie Reno (Johnny Robinson), Stacie Kennedy (Dennis), Shauna Meares, Bryce Swanson (Adrianna), Olyvia Swanson, Lauren Swanson, John McCarty, Jr., Jacob McCarty (Allison) and Jayson Fretham (Hope); and also Andrew Fretham of Jacksonville, FL. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Episcopal Church (400 St Johns Ave, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043). A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Rest Cemetery, Funeral Home and Cremation Center (2335 Sandridge Rd, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043).
