She was predeceased by: her husband Jay Merrill; her parents, Thomas Penman and Susie Penman (Sabo); and her sisters, Sandy Shimun and Patty Penman.
She is survived by: her children, Andrew Merrill (Cyndi) of Peoria, Illinois and Sueann Monroe (Marc) of Fleming Island; her grandsons, Aidan and Cameron Monroe; and her brother Tom Penman (Lori Ann). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jeanette's memory to The Penrickton Center for Blind Children, a cause dear to her heart, co-founded by her parents in 1952. , https://penrickton.org.
