He is survived by: his wife April; his children, Charles Crosson Coats IV (Jayme) and Christi Coats; his sister Carole Lowe (Steve); his nieces and nephews, Taryn Schultz (Jeff), Stephen Lowe (Meghan), Piper and Christian Schultz; and his pets, Chatham and Moxley.

Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jacksonville Memory Gardens (111 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL 32073). A graveside service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Greenwich Cemetery (330 Greenwich Rd, Savannah, GA 31404).
