He is survived by: his brother-in-law David Cook; his wife Jean; his stepchildren, Rod Kirkland (Robin) of Glennville, GA, Steven Kirkland (Viniece) of Glennville, GA and Kelly Root (Rick) of Atlantic Beach; his foster son Wallace Bartlett of Sarasota; his sisters, Pam Cook (David) of Fernandina, Janis Johnson of Fernandina and Dee Dee Thornton (Mark) of Fernandina; his aunt Pat Mott; and his close friends, Ben and Bonnie Spivey. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren, 4 nephews; one niece; 3 great-nieces; and other extended family.
