With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Martha Jean Hyers (Fernandina Beach, Florida), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 12, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Jones and Bessie Griffin Jones (Ronald E. Hyers) of Fernandina Beach; her siblings, Elmer Jones, William Jones and Mary Ann Wilson; and her pet Chilly Hyers.
She is survived by: her children, R. David Hyers of Fernandina Beach, FL, Tommy Hyers (Rubye Hyers) of Fernandina Beach, FL, Bruce Hyers (Karen Hyers) of Fernandina Beach, FL, Rebecca Hyers of Fernandina Beach, FL and Amber Lehmbeck (Jacob Lehmbeck) of Saint Marys; her sister Evelyn Nazzarie of Brunswick; and her grandchildren, Jeremy Hyers (April Hyers), Jad Hyers, Jenee Mccoy (Nate Mccoy), Shelley Medley (Ross Medley), Joshua Hyers (Melissa Hyers) and Tanner Matthews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (1600 S 8th St, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dementia Society of America.
