He was predeceased by: his sisters, Claire E. Graves (Garvey) and Joan M. Beaudry (Garvey). He is survived by: his wife Helen (Sweety); his children, Cheryl A. Garvey (Ron) of Ashland, John F. Garvey Jr. (Sandy) of Dundee and Patricia Garvey (Christopher Clements); and his grandson Colten G. Clements of Fernandina Beach, Florida..
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Michael Catholic Church (202 N 4th St, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034). The military honors was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Jacksonville National Cemetery (4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218).
