He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome Arnold and Ellen Geneva Arnold (Barber); his son Jerome Arnold, III; his grandson Shaun McClung; his sister Gwanis Freeman Johns; and the mother of his children Carolyn Arnold (Weaver).
He is survived by: his wife Nella J "Butch" Arnold; his children, Vicky L. Rushing of Fernandina Beach, Carol D. Arnold of Waycross Georgia and Grady D. Arnold of Hilliard; his sisters, Imogene Smith, Janice Stokes of Fernandina Beach, Geraldine "Jerri" Miles of Monroe Louisiana and Wanda Arnold of Hilliard; and his stepsons, Leland, Dean Higginbotham of Hilliard and Garland Higginbotham of Orlando. He is also survived by four grandchildren and four great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
