James Jerry Burns Obituary
James Jerry “Jim” Burns, of Fanning Springs, FL, formerly from Bartlett, TN passed away on March 2, 2023. He has rejoined the love of his life and mother of his children, Virginia “Ginny” Burns, who preceded him in death on April 6, 1998. He has left behind two daughters, Tammie Medina of Carrollton, GA & Jeri Rudolph of Arlington, TN, 3 grandchildren, Tyler & Angel Medina and Clayton James “C.J.” Rudolph, a brother, Bill Burns, a sister Sheree Edwards, and a great-grandchild, Sage Ora Medina as well as a wife, Dale Burns. He was predeceased by his mother & father Eva Jane North and James C. Burns, as well as a brother, Charles Calvin “Butch” Burns and sister, Lona Ballinger. He served as an Army Special Forces Green Beret and Paratrooper for 18 months in Korea and continued to serve his country until he retired from the TN Air National Guard in 1993. He was well known in the Memphis community for years as one of the top oil salesmen in the Mid-South. He will be deeply missed by all those that he has left behind as he rejoices in heaven with our King, Jesus Christ. Graveside service will be held on Monday, March 27, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Memphis Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens 3700 N Germantown Pkwy, Bartlett, TN.
