He was predeceased by: his parents, Solomon A. Cokes, Sr. and Ethel V. Cokes; his grandparents, Carrie and Henry Evans; and his brother James Cokes.
He is survived by: his significant other Pamela Rothmann; his children, Lisa Cokes, Keith Cokes (Sam Ben Shalom), Sean Cokes and Corey Cokes; his sisters, Anne Sadler and Patricia Abraham; his grandchildren, Zora Cokes, Zion Cokes, Béla Cokes and Corrine Cokes; his niece Sandra Jones; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Taylor and Ryan; his niece Lauren Rusnak (Tony Annone); his nephew Stephen Marshall; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ashley, Juilian and Grace; his nephew Alvin Abraham Jr.; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Daisy and Hunter; his nephew Duane Sadler; his nephews, Barry Sadler, Jr., Jeremy Paul (Faye Hargate) and Michael Rusnak; his sisters-in-law, Susan Rothmann (Philip Paul) and Beth Rusnak (Joe); his cousins, Claudia Pearson and Michael Singleton (Denise); his adoptive daughter Zita Elek; and also, Jabari, Iris, Larry, Kevin and Ziyan.
