Joseph Kevin Cooney Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 17, 2022, at the age of 71, Joseph Kevin Cooney of Estero, Florida passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph and Joan; his brother Dennis; and his nephew Danny. He is survived by: his children, J. P., Meghan and Notre Dame; his wife Michele; his children-in-law, Maureen Cooney and Michael Rinehart; his grandchildren, Eleanor, Ryan, Mary, Connor and Annie; his brothers, Brian (Christy), Kevin (Theresa), Terry and Sean; and his sisters-in-law, Debbie (Len) and Jacquelyn. He is also survived by aunt and many nephews, nieces, and godchildren; and countless friends.
The walls of his office and home were adorned with Notre Dame and Yankee memorabilia, which featured prominently in the background of Joe's Zoom calls with family and friends during the pandemic.
In lieu of flowers, the Cooney family would appreciate donations to Saint Peter's Prep in Jersey City or the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
