He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Staruck and Rose Staruck; and his sister Gloria Battain (Ron). He is survived by: his wife Cheryl; the fathers of children, James (Colleen) and John (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Jack, Tommy, Charlie, Claire, Daniel and Nora Staruck; and also Michele Kowalesik Staruck. He is also survived by his wife, his sons and their wives, and adored his 6 grandchildren.
