He was predeceased by: his parents, Clara Sammons and Forest Sammons; his wife Ann Davies Sammons; and his siblings, Lucien Sammons, Forest Sammons Jr. and Dorothy Duncan.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Marlene Gray; his sister Sara Ann Hawkins; his children, Dr. Frederick Sammons Jr. (Laurie), Charles Sammons Ft (Lynn) and Jane Sammons of Marathon, FL.; and his grandchildren, Dr. Shea Sammons (Jordan), Dr. Maggie Adams (Jeremy), Dr. Nicole Patterson (Shawn) and Drew Sammons (Cassandra).
