He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Jones and Anna Jones (Donovan); and his brothers, Thomas, Robert and Kenneth Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Donald Jones (Connie) of Naples, FL, Carol Ropke (Thomas) of Estero, FL and Brian Jones (Carole) of Hillsdale, NJ; his grandchildren, Christie Sullivan (Liam), Caitlin Coghlan (Kevin), Colleen Cadigan (Keith), Michael Ropke (Emma), Christine Ropke, Caroline Jones (David), Brian Jones and Connor Jones; his great grandchildren, Cillian, Eamon, Devin Sullivan, Marie, Tessa, Corinne Coghlan, Casey, Nora Cadigan and Flora Ropke; his siblings, John (Anne Jones) and Anne Marie Antonelli; and his caregiver Marie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, good friends.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Leo the Great Catholic Church (28300 Beaumont Rd, Bonita Springs, FL 34134).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to St. Leo the Great Catholic Church and Joanne's House at Hope Hospice. And mostly, he wants you to do your best, to enjoy simple pleasures and tell stories about the family, and to watch a little "Seinfeld" when you need a good laugh – he'll be watching with you.
