He is survived by: his wife Karen Girdley Vernon of Estero, FL; his children, Michael R. Vernon of Indianapolis, Scott Keith (Catherine) of Greenwood, Nicole N. Mosier (Eric Dudenhoeffer) of Indianapolis and Kristian D. Hart (Jonathan) of Martinsville; his grandchildren, Devin Hart, Aaron Hart, Autumn Ross, Hailee Mosier and Jacob Keith; and his brothers, Thomas Vernon (Ann) of Franklin and Joseph E. Vernon (Melinda) of Indianapolis.
