With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barry L. Sullivan of Estero, Florida, who passed away on November 15, 2023 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Fred M. Sullivan. He is survived by: his wife Katherine B. Sullivan of Estero, FL; his mother Mecellie H. Sullivan (Hedrick) of Shreveport, LA; his son Christopher D. Sullivan (Lauren Sullivan) of Ft. Myers, FL; and his siblings, Dr. Fred M. Sullivan, Jr. of Shreveport, LA, Dr. Dennis M. Sullivan of Monroe, LA and Teresa J. King of Shreveport, LA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions in his name be made to either St. Leo the Great Catholic Church 28300 Beaumont Rd., Bonita Springs, FL 34134, or to Our Lady of Light Catholic Community 19680 Cypress View Dr., Ft. Myers, FL 33967.

“When Barry was about 10, his family moved to my hometown of Campti, LA, for a year. My mom and his dad were first cousins, and we kids spent a lot of time together. Barry and my brother John were the same age and were practically inseparable. They especially liked to fish at my grandparents' pond. John passed a few years ago.
