He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Smith and Della Smith of Estero; his son-in-law John Patton of Arcadia; and his siblings, Kay (John McCullers) of Estero and George Smith of California.
He is survived by: his wife Roberta "Bobbie" Smith; and his children, Marilyn Patton of Arcadia, Robert Smith of Arcadia and Jackie Smith (Tanya) of O'Brien. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great grand fur baby.
