He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Stephen Markowski and Julia Markowski; his wife Mary Ann; and his grandchildren, Christopher (Maria Markowski), Stephen, Aspasia (Nicholas), Michael (Elizabeth Markowski), Joshua (Caitlin), Matthew (Katina Markowski), Quasan (Penelope), Joseph (Yukiko Markowski) and Hana (Amelia). He was also cherished by four sons.
In lieu of flowers the family has chosen the following organizations to make a memorial donation to in his honor; St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (http://www.stjude.org) or the Disabled American Veterans (http://www.dav.org).
