He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Mathisen-Gass. He is survived by: his parents, John R. Gass and Alice I. Gass (Allen); his sisters, Nancy Campbell of Arizona, Mary, Johnson of Michigan, Margaret and Wurst of Ohio; his children, Judy of Colorado, David and John, III; and also Singer of Colorado.
