He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Emil Maki and Helen Maki; his wife Cynthia Maki; his sister Charlene Hagen; his children, Eric Maki, Craig Maki, Ryan Maki and Jennifer Tucker; and his grandchildren, Brooke Maki, Brendan Maki, Olivia Maki, Kaitlyn Tucker, Lauren Maki and Ashton Tucker. He was also cherished by children grew up their family expanded and soon 6 grandchildren.
