He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Emmett Croson and Eva Croson; his former wife Frances Ruth Croson (Joyce); his children, Charles Croson, Phyllis O'Donnell (Duane), Joyce, Richard Croson (Kathleen) and Sherry Croson; his wife Lois Croson (Steenrod); and his siblings, Curtis Croson (MaryAnn) and MaryAnn Roberts (Donald). He was also cherished by 5 children, 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Beltsville Volunteer.
