He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard T. Whitacre and Cora Belle Whitacre; and his sister Rosalie Hickman (Whitacre). He is survived by: his sons, Keith (Sharon) and Greg (Suzanne); his grandchildren, Michael, Heather, Riley and Melina; his sister Marcella Rutherford (Whitacre); his daughters, Michele Lee (Graham Nord), Tracy Lee (Andrew Fawcett) and Kathy Morren (Shawn Morren); and also, Waylon, Marlowe, Kaia and Olivia.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations to be made to Family Promise of South Sarasota County in honor of Dale.
