She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Edward Smith and Dorothy Deaton Smith; her husband James Herbert Horner; her son Michael Clarence Horner; and her grandson Jason Michael Horner.
She is survived by: her sister Marian Smith Franklin; and her children, James Herbert Horner, Jr., Ann Brandenberger and Laura Hamilton. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and two nieces and nephews.
