He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Karl Bertka and Susan Bertka (Podmyersky); his wife Betty Cerveny; his brothers, Andrew and Victor; his children, Carl (Joanne) and Bonnie Palmer (Alvin); his grandchildren, Carl Christopher Bertka (Lisa) and Jennifer Class; and his great grandchildren, Cameron Daniel Class and Carl Edward Bertka.
