He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Linda Riggs (Beadling); his daughters, Terri Maginnis of Newcastle and Jani Steinbacher of Valrico; his stepson Gregory Glunt of Monroeville, Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Julie Maginnis, David Maginnis, Eric Maginnis, Kevin Maginnis, Rachel Steinbacher and Samantha Barnes; his daughter Beth Hazuka; and his parents, David Alfred Riggs and Gladys McNutt of Virginia.

A specific memory I have is when you had your cancer surgery and treatment years ago, and how attentive he was to take care of you and feed you and make sure you were comfortable and felt loved. He called me more than once that day just to give me information he knew I would want to know and as a way to keep in touch.”
