He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Whitaker and Nellie Livingston Whitaker; his children, Richard Whitaker, Cheryl Whitaker Sims of Bradenton and Sandra Whitaker Vaughn of Palmetto; his grandchildren, Shawn, Trevor Whitaker, Carrie, Brandon Sims and Tina Powell; his great grandchildren, Tate Casey, Brighton Westermayer, Alex Sims, Arelle, Christian Whitaker and Britney Powell; and his great great grandchild Aurora Powell Jauss.
