Joseph Franklin Bister, Jr., 87, of Ellenton, FL, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Christine Joy Humphrey Bister of Ellenton, FL; sons: Joseph F. Bister of Spring Hill, FL, Phillip S. Bister of Brooksville, FL; daughters: Virginia L. Robertson (Roger) of Hudson, FL, Deborah M. Harsh of Hudson, FL, Donna S. Mitchell (Bradford) of Brooksville, FL, Kimberly A. Schlupp of Nevare, FL; 27 grandchildren; and brother: John Bister of Lexington, OH. <h3>Visitation and Services</h3> A service will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. (with visitation from 12:00 to 1:30) at Purcell Chapel with Pastor Lawrence Reeves officiating.
Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. with Sumter County Honor Guard providing military honors. Arrangements entrusted to Purcell Funeral Home, Bushnell, Florida.
