She was predeceased by: her child Marty Schmitt; her child-in-law Sharon Schmitt; and her sibling Dorothy Orser (late Carman). She is survived by: her spouse Charles; her children, Mark Schmitt (Jane), Michele Degasteri (Paul), Julie Black (Peter) and Susan Rusek; her grandchildren, Adrienne, Jessica, Kevin, Paul, John, Savanah and Charlie; and her great grandchild Aaron. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
